How to identify the tool connector?
The pipe joint is a component of the pipe, common joint and female joint, connected to the two ends of the pipe. There are wire buckle (thick buckle) to connect each single drill pipe. In the process of drilling, the joint should be frequently removed frequently, and the surface of the joint is affected by considerable bite force, so the wall thickness of the drill pipe joint is larger, the outer diameter of the joint is greater than the outer diameter of the pipe, and the alloy steel with higher strength is used. Domestic drill pipe joints are generally made of 35 CrMo alloy steel.
The connection of the buckle must meet three conditions, namely equal size, the same type of buckle, male and female buckle. Different sizes. Different types of wire buckle of the same size. Therefore, it is difficult to fully match the types of drill pipe joints, in order to facilitate the distinction between drill pipe joint and engineering applications, API has made unified provisions on the type of drill pipe joint, forming the API drill pipe joint widely used in the oil industry.
The API drill pipe joint has both old and new standards. The old API drill rod joint is proposed for the early use of fine buckle drill rod, divided into three types: internal flat (IF), penetrating eye (FH) and regular (REG).
The inner flat joint is mainly used for thickening the outer drill pipe, which is characterized by the inner diameter of the pipe body and the inner diameter of the joint, and the flow resistance of the drilling fluid is small, which is conducive to improving the water power of the drill bit, but the outer diameter of the joint is large and easy to wear.
The penetrating joint is suitable for the inner thickened drill pipe, which is characterized by the drill pipe has two inner diameter. The inner diameter of the joint is equal to the inner diameter of the pipe body, but less than the inner diameter of the pipe body. The resistance of drilling fluid flow through this joint is greater than the inner flat joint, but its outer diameter is smaller than the inner flat joint
Regular type joints are suitable for internal thickened drill pipe. The inner diameter of this joint is relatively small, smaller than the inner diameter at the thickening of the drill pipe. So the drill pipe connected to the regular joint has three different inner diameters. Drilling fluid has the greatest resistance when flowing through this joint, but it has the smallest outer diameter and greater strength. Regular joints are often used for small diameter drill rods and backbuckle drill rods, as well as drills, salvage tools. Identification of all joints of the three types of joints
1. Eye FH and XH are not common or commonly used in the tool workshop.
2. The commonly used are internal level IF and normal REG, the difference are as follows:
IF 4 buckle per inch, relative buckle thicker, and less taper, REG per inch 5 buckle, relative buckle more thin, and larger taper. The size range of IF buckle is 2-3 / 8 "to 4-1 / 2", greater than 4-1 / 2 "without IF, usually REG, above 7-5 / 8" without REG.
3. Common representation methods:
Repressed by three numbers, such as 310,410,411, etc.;
The first number represents the size (generally 2~7): 2- -2-2-7 / 8 ", 3- - -3-1 / 2", 4- - -4-1 / 2 ", 5- - -5-1 / 2", 6- -6-5 / 8,7- -7-5 / 8 ":
The second number indicates the buckle type (1,2,3), 1- - -IF; 2- - -FH; 3- - -REG;
The third number represents the female (represented by 0 and 1) 0- -female; 1- - -male:
Other common buckle types are BTC, MT, AMT, HT 55, etc.
5.In addition, the common motor button type 7-5 / 8 "REG, 6-5 / 8" REG, 4-1 / 2 "REG, also has 4-1 / 2" IF. The common buckle type of pipe scraper and hydraulic cutter is REG. The "V" shaped thread is used, but the buckle type (represented by the thread top cutting width), the buckle distance, taper and size are very different.
